About Ekebergparken

Ekebergparken is a public sculpture park, located on the Ekeberg hill above Oslo. On display are 47 sculptures and installations, by 43 different artists, both contemporary and from the 19th Century. The collection features artworks by Auguste Rodin, Aristide Maillol, James Turrell, Louise Bourgeois, Elmgreen & Dragset and Roni Horn, just to name a few. Several of the artworks are site specific. Walking through the paths and trails one can see the sculptures emerging through the landscape, coexisting with their surroundings and the rich ancient cultural history of the area. The sculpture park opened in September 2013 and has since received wide recognition- Ekebergparken is the result of a close cooperation between Oslo Municipality and the art patron Christian Ringnes and his foundation C. Ludens Ringnes. In 2024 the collection was expanded with the addition of Pipilotti Rist’s video and sound installation Nordic Pixel Forest.

The park is open to the public, at all hours, all year round. No entrance fee is charged.
