Sundays: Free tours in Ganzfeld & Skyspace

No, in Ganzfeld and Skyspace you must be accompanied by a guide. This is a measure to protect the artworks and to give visitors the best possible experience. There are many sensory impressions and strong light in the installations, and some people may experience discomfort when encountering these.

• The guides have a break between 1:30 PM and 2 PM

• The guides will be outside a few minutes before the next tour. They start every half hour during the opening hours

We offer free guided tours on Sundays between 11:00 and 16:00. Private tours and Sessions can be booked throughout the year.

No, we are not able to control the times of the light in Skyspace, only in Ganzfeld. 

During daytime there is a white light in Skyspace. 

They are two unique and different light installations made by the same artist, James Turrell. They are placed underground at the same site and connected by an underground tunnel. They have their own light programs and gives completely different visual and bodily experiences for the viewer. 

The main difference is that Ganzfeld: Double Vision can be experienced at any time of the day, while Skyspace: the Color Beneath can only fully be experienced during the sunset or sunrise. In daytime there is a white light in Skyspace. The architectural features of Skyspace is well worth a visit of its own. 

Yes, this experience is well suited for children of all ages. However, children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by at least one adult per child. Please prepare your children for the fact that this is a calm experience where consideration is shown for all those present. No running is allowed, and please do not touch any walls.

• Sessions: up to 15 per group, as this is the number of seats in Skyspace.

No, all photography is prohibited inside Ganzfeld & Skyspace. 

Yes, all our tour offers have a fixed group price. The same price applies if you are fewer than the maximum number provided for each tour.
