Do you want to organize an event in the park?
Ekebergparken is a public park and the ground owner is Oslo Municipality. All inquiries about events must be made through Ekebergparkens administration and Oslo Municipality/Bymiljøetaten at byleie.no.
Guidelines:
Get permission:
The park must approve and be made aware of where, what and when you are planning. This applies to both large and small events. Send your request here.
No obstacles for visitors:
You cannot obstruct the movement of other visitors. As a public park, all visitors have the right to move freely. This means that it is not possible for you to banish other visitors from the area where you are going to hold the event. There is also no room to ask other visitors to wait to leave. If other visitors come, any filming/photography must stop until the people in question have left. There is a requirement that the event must be carried out in a way that is adapted to other visitors in the park and that do not disturb other visitors.
No driving in the park.
Ekebergparken has parking (Autopay) for visitors. In addition, there may be an opportunity to park outside the Ekebergrestaurant, but this must be clarified directly with the restaurant as they are separate from the sculpture park itself.
Inspections and fees:
If you need arrangements or assistance from the park, i.e. access to electricity, staff or similar, this must be clarified in advance. We will then require that an inspection of the area you have set out to assess whether it is possible to arrange this. In such a case, a separate fee will be charged for the work carried out in addition to a fee for renting electricity and payment of our employees.
Video / Filming:
Photo licensing: When photographing or filming artworks in the park, you must contact BONO and clarify the rules that apply to remuneration and depiction of intellectual property. Most of the artworks in the park's collection are subject to the Copyright Act and require that remuneration be paid to BONO and that the artworks are correctly credited in consultation with BONO. Read more and find contact information at Bono.no.
Written consent: Similarly, written consent must be obtained for photographing visitors in the park if this is applicable. We recommend that you have consent contracts for filming/photography that you can present to those who may be affected. If visitors object to being filmed or photographed, this must be respected. It is your responsibility to obtain and manage the consent.
