Important information about Kongsveien

Oslo Municipality has closed Kongsveien from Konows gate up to Kongshavn Secondary School due to rehabilitation work. This takes place between May and November 2026.

The tram is running as normal, so we recommend travelling here by tram lines 13 or 19 towards Ljabru.

If anyone is arriving by car, access is only possible from above from Holtet/Nordstrand. If you use GPS navigation, you will automatically be rerouted.

Estimate an additional travel time of 15 min if you arrive from the City Centre through Konows street by car/bus.

How to get here

There is a limited number of parking lots in the park, and we recommend everyone to reach the park by public transport. The nearest stops are Ekebergparken (trams 13 and 19), and Ekeberg Camping (buses 74 and 34).

We also recommend walking to the park by taking the "Love Path" close to the tram stop "Oslo Hospital". See more below:

Bus to Ekeberg camping

  • Bus 34 towards Ekeberg Hageby
  • Bus 74 towards Mortensrud

Tram to Ekebergparken

  • Tram 13 towards Ljabru
  • Tram 19 towards Ljabru

Train to Oslo Central Station

  • Oslo S (Oslo Central Station) is the closest train station

Walk up "The Love Path" (recommended!)

  • Close to the tram stop "Oslo Hospital" and the roundabout you find the entrance to "The Love Path". The path runs parallel to the road Kongsveien and gives you stunning view of the city. The path takes you up to the viewing point infront of the Ekeberg restaurant.
  • time: ca 10 min
